In my bid to locate mumbai office space in the shortest possible time, Ram Pahdi of Pinnacle Realty was & has always been of great assistance. In the world of brokers, it is a pleasure to have a professional, who understands client requirements & works on those rather than trying to fit anything at all! He is always available on 9820 1515 00 homes@mumbaiproperties.com

Someone said βIt takes two things to be a consultant β Grey hair and hemorrhoids. The Grey hair makes you look experienced and the hemorrhoids give you a concerned look.β
Taking this at face value, watching a lot of english movies, decided to go for the Salt & Pepper Look……The wife liked it; daughter got used to it….BUT do not have hemorrhoids as yet, so cannot be a consultant….will still have to take up a job!!!

SMS forward - Dangerous & downright stupid
Posted in Thoughts; Gyan; Fun |
Received a SMS from a friend first thing today morning - “plz forward this phone no. to all your friends. Very urgent.. A baby needs A -ve blood immediately. Contact 9944506707. pls do not delete, atleast fwd.”
Having received such sms in the past & being reasonably expert on them, asked him to verify the authenticity of the sender, nos & revert…..
No response till late afternoon, when I received a sheepish reply ‘pls ignore’
This was repeated twice during the course of the day; Mind you they were from different locations, friends who do not know each other.
This sets one thinking - Is this a marketing gimmick? Do people have so much free time to play around with someone’s lives if it is genuine enough???
WHATEVER the case may be, at the cost of being rude, I have made it a rule to always ask for verification/confirmation of authenticity before even thinking of forwarding such sms….

Decided on spur of the moment to visit Ambaji close on the gujarat & rajasthan border, a place that we normally visit twice a year, but had not visited since last september.
With vacations coming to an end so tickets being a problem & having travelled by road once earlier from mumbai, decided to drive down the 800 kms one way with a break at Baroda to meet up with old friends. Read the rest of this entry »

Milind Nene aka Dr. Milind Nene
Posted in BHS |
Milind as I first saw him:
I had joined BHS from Bombay(nay not mumbai) via Vidya Kunj. Not wearing a uniform on the first day but nonetheless extremely respectably attired in short pants white shirt tucked in. Classes had just begun & in walks a boy - blue shorts with white shirt, buttons having lost their fight with the holes; black belt cinched tight enough for the shorts to go tokyo & the shirt london with the half way tie going back to russia. Grubby shoes with socks thru which a tinge of white was visible, hair flying across the country like a dust cropper plane AND a peti under his left arm dragging the shirt out of the shorts - May I come in Mam - Contractor says - Put your bag & stand outside - The day for Milind Nene had begun - His crush eminently visible on his face & thru the various nudges amongst the young girls & boys, he does so & requests - Can I take my book & listen from outside - Gales of laughter follow this - YES - merrily our man steps outside - this class was probably the last or 2nd last on the right side when you face the canteen - the next 25 odd minutes was my induction into how popular our man was with teachers, students, peons & the little birds, butterflies etc moving around.
