I had done a quick basic review some time ago. However, felt not enough justice was done. Saturday, gathering for a impromptu celebration at a friends place, unanimously decided to try out the place again. And home delivery it was.
Paneer malai tikkay – it was a bit kadak, should have been soft melt in the mouth kind; Makai sheekh kabab – very nice, just the right consistency and juicy makai. (yeah, yeah I know, kebabs cannot be vegetarian)
Chicken malai tikkay were excellent. They make them with a coating of egg and accompanied by green chutney and onions were just perfect. A must try out.
Chholey masala – very good masala but extremely oily and the chholey were hard; Aloo gobhi – very nice, just the right masala and the pieces diced medium and not the ‘jungle type’ that restaurants seem to prefer. The find was Methi makai malai – not too sweet, just divine.
Chicken dhania adraki – very nice, soft chicken, marinated well, though the gravy looked and tasted similar to methi makai malai.
The assorted breads – namak ajwain paratha, rumali roti, lachcha & pudhina paratha were pretty nice, though wheat offerings were missing.
Pulao chholey de hare pyaz de was very good, a different unique taste and went extremely well with the boondi raita. Here also there was the hard chholey problem (guess the cook was having an off day on this one or they ran out of chholey)
The free Kheer was well liked, whilst the jalebi though nice in taste was burnt/brown, something I am extremely particular about.
