One of the rare instances, when everything goes wrong, did so. After driver duty, wanted to grab something light and hence tweeted. Promptly enough there were a range of suggestions – Roti + Subzi/South Indian/Rolls & Wraps/Salad/Sandwiches. I short listed Rolls or Sandwiches – The only rolls that would fit in the budget would be faasos but knowing my luck with them and my daughter at work, decided to order Sandwiches – Sandwizza the closest went over Budget, which is when I dug out my Rolodex 🙂 and called Big Chilli Pepper

I remember it as an old place, opp Domino’s/Guru da Dhaba on the first cross lane, now jazzed up, offering a range of sandwiches, (incidentally not listed in Burrp but surprisingly on Zomato.

The phone was attended promptly, order taken for 1 veg sandwich; 1 Masala toast and 1 chilli cheese toast, (the standard template for comparison) Delivery promise in 30 minutes. 15 minutes later, called to say that Masala had not reached so will vegetable toast do. Told him, to send it immediately, but took another 30 minutes, after confirmation. (Total of 45-50 min).

Veg Sandwich – Fresh, soft bread, but sparse stuffing, very little chutney inspite of being told.
Veg Toast Sandwich – Good & Nice stuffing, with a bit of shredded cabbage and beet also put in, but it was not toast, but grilled.
Chilli cheese Toast – Very good – crisp, chopped onions, capsicum, chillies, cheese and grilled.
