A couple of weeks ago, had to rush to Mira Road for an unexpected piece of news. By the time we left it was pretty late and stomachs were growling for food. It was then the long forgotten name surfaced and we decided to grab dinner there, before leaving for home.

At 10 pm the place was roaring with business, with most tables outside occupied. We opted for a place inside, ordered drinks and decided on starters, of course non veg. We tried their recommended Chicken Karela kabab – chicken stuffed with kheema inside – a wonderful dish, well worth trying and tandoori chicken which was still as we remember from nearly a decade ago.

This was followed by mains which were old favourites – butter chicken – very good, not too sweet with nice thick reddish brown gravy and not the tomato puree that is served elsewhere; kheema mutter – completely blissful with very little oil as instructed with enough mutter; aloo jeera – the master dish which everyone agreed tastes the same even today; dal tadka – this could have been a tad better, but it also did not receive too much attention given the other three items were perfect.

Whilst kulfi, gulabjamun was recommended, we were too stuffed, so much so that we carried a takeaway of leftovers also.
