Buddha Belly – a quirky name that I saw couple of times last fortnight whilst passing on the Juhu road.

One fine day, taking a friend for a checkup to Lilavati Hospital, decided to try it out.

There was a valet, so handed over the car, entered and were greeted by two captain/server in faux Chinese uniforms. The kitchen is on the right as you enter and straight ahead are 16-20 covers which were all occupied with Ladies – kitty party?

We were asked to go down, a bit dicey walking down and then there are 3 tables with 12-14 covers.

The paint smell was very strong, and there seemed to be no exhaust though the AC seemed to work well.

There was a small menu that allowed you to tick and hand over your order, but the first server who came could not understand the order and went running to get the senior.

Ordered the veg and non veg platter – 8 each; waited for 10 min and then rapidly the food two each started arriving.

Overall, except a couple of misses, the rest was upto the mark and just hit the spot.

Well worth a second visit soon to try other remaining stuff.
