7th August 2011 I received a message which shocked me first and then left me feeling humble, restoring my faith in humanity.

I had tweeted about this also. Time passed, I kept getting brief updates from the young lady, her plans of a Bombay visit always cancelled at the last minute multiple times.

Last month, I got an email, asking for a time in Bombay, sharing her phone number. In the deluge of personal emails I seem to receive, I forgot all about it. A soft reminder couple of days later and I confirmed a time and place – My favourite Bru Cafe in Bandra – where I have met, shared experiences, sometimes advise with startups and entrepreneurs.

Her story was quite inspiring, migrated to USA, practiced Law, decided to come back, started business, quarrel with co founder, sick for a very long time – followed, read my junk – worked, travelled and now wanting to settle down in Bombay.

For me, it was seriously something, that this young lady made an effort to communicate, keep in touch, share her story with somebody like me who she did not know at all. Reminded me all over again that for those 99 who take advantage there is always that 1 who restores your faith.

Also the fact that all this happened via Twitter.
