Fine Dine is so not me and yes if pushed, I have always found a lot of better options.
This is a place that I have heard many times, but never ever visited. The reasons may be many, but Hardik finally managed to push me into visiting.
Off we went for dinner. A reservation because it is of course Fine Dine and all that.
I reached 45 min early and asked for a table and was informed that they did not have a table, when I repeated that it was in Hardik’s name and I’ve come early, I was taken and seated in the alcove which was quite nice.
Glancing thru the menu, decided to order a rum and coke – the order was taken and served quite quickly. Just before the coke could be poured, I decided to recheck if it was Thumsup and then Coke but both came up negative and the server sheepishly said ‘Pepsi’. I asked to check if they had run out, but was quickly informed that nope they keep Pepsi only. To my query on why I was not informed, I was told, Sir do you want to cancel this order.
Not wishing to create a scene, asked for some lime pieces. Soon the others joined and we shifted to another table.
The time between order, delivery needed followup and reminders, with the servers disappearing. And mind you this is at a place where the Chef came and met Hardik and we were introduced. As did the Maitre..
We tried just the simple things:
Herb Criquettes – were quite nice and repeated again.
Roast Garlic Plenta – pretty decent but have had better.
Mushroom risotto – was found good by others, I did not try as I am not a Risotto fan.
Cheesecake – best avoided.
