The Ardmore Legacy – Part II – is the only highland peated single malt. I had written about it here and had kept it aside after tasting, to be tried again with friends.

Recently the occasion arose and we had two whisky’s to taste and I was quite keen that everyone try out The Ardmore Legacy first.

Six new people trying it out – 30 ml. without ice or water.

Two loved it. Four said nah not really.

Second round 30 ml with ice and water.

Two loved it and said we shall continue with this; two more converted to The Ardmore Legacy.

In fact that evening, the The Ardmore Legacy was tried with a combination of starters (unfortunately, when Indians gather, this is a must)

The most basic combination of spicy stuff, and the whisky went down a little harsh; however basic salads, peanuts, cashewnuts it went perfectly smooth.

However, my old habit of trial with – Dates, chilled pineapple and watermelon (old middle east habit) was probably the best.

Whisky without anything or one large ice cube and the fruit before.

With a little more education of accompaniments and I sure think Indians would take to this and add it to their bars.

So, four out of six sticking to The Ardmore Legacy during the evening was pretty good going. Guess, this will have to added to the bar, next time when I do go shopping.
