Star Bazaar - New Link Road

Posted in Consumer & CRM, Rants & Raves, Retail |

After Hypercity, the Star Bazaar is one of my favorite places to shop, mostly because of space, genuine deals, friendly staff & some nice food stuff.

A bachelor can actually make a nice meal out of their combos, made fresh twice a day. And their bakery is actually better than Hypercity.

However the location whilst, convenient is also a problem due to the heavy vehicular movement as well as the pseudo rich with attitude & absolutely no civic sense, whatsoever.

I fail to understand why they do not take the assistance of Traffic Police, like Hypercity has done in order to control everything. Do it for a couple of weeks & then people tend to fall in line.

Recession - Check the Traffic

Posted in Rants & Raves |

People keep talking about Recession as if it is a dirty word! But looking at the number of vehicles that ply on the streets of Mumbai, one would be forgiven if one thinks that the word is not applicable here!

Blue Waters Restaurant & Bar

Posted in Restaurant; Hotels; Food |

Formerly Papillon Park, Opp. Tata Power House, New Link Road, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Blue makes you see Red

Lovely location, ambiance but extremely disappointing in terms of food. The chinese is below par. Moghlai a little better. The only saving grace was the chef’s recommendation for the day. The papads came burnt & the staff threw major attitude.

Rhythm Restaurant & Bar

Posted in Restaurant; Hotels; Food |

Lokhandwala Market Lane, Near Swami Samarth Temple, Lokhandwala, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Bar Bar Jao!

A bar which has it’s regulars who come & sit thru the evening. Not a place where one would take the family, unless it has completely changed in the past 4-6 months. But the food is decent, no short change on drinks & AC works well…..On a binge what else do you need?

VF & Havana Club - a nice evening

Posted in Friends & Party |

VF (Veri Fast) Vijay Fernandes & Neil decided to meet up impromptu some weeks ago, to open a nice bottle of Havana Club that Judith, Neil’s wife had got for us.

Location was Neil’s house for obvious reasons. An extremely smooth rum, would not mind having it again:)
