I had visited this place 4+ years ago with a friend for a leisurely lunch and had come away completely disappointed.
However, last week, on my quest for a dining table, ended up at Home Stop and felt like having a Thali, which meant either Rajdhani or Bhagat Tarachand (which unfortunately had not opened). That narrowed the options to Pizza Hut (too crowded), Ruby Tuesday (does not really have food) when my wife bull dozed me to Moti Mahal Deluxe.
Upon entering, saw it was more than half full, with mostly families. Given a nice table, started perusing the menu, which was quite exhaustive. Unfortunately, they did not have old monk and hence had to settle for Bacardi.
We opted for some roasted masala papads and a portion of Subz mix grill which consisted of paneer, aaloo & mix vegetable kebabs - very nicely marinated and served hot.
For the mains, we tried Veg kofta - very nice - a bit spicy & tangy with brown gravy and methi mutter malai which had a taste of real methi and was not too sweet. But it is the roti’s which were extremely nice, in particular the chilly paratha, which had bits of green chilly and went extremely well with the methi mutter malai.
We were too stuffed to try out the sweet and left it for another time.

A working day, but my wife surprised me by taking me out for dinner, something that must have happened after ages.
She offered me an option between Mainland China (which we have been to earlier - together/individually) and Caravan Sarai that she’s never been to.
Opting for the latter we reached there quickly, found it sparsely occupied, but nicely chilled and good ambiance.
Ordering a drink each, perusing the menu decided to try Subz kabab (tandoor) and Kokri kabab ( shallow fried). Both tasted lovely accompanied with some nice mint chutney.
Moved on directly to the main course - Veg kolhapuri - nice, spicy but more capsicum and carrots then I normally prefer Dum aloo punjabi - which was pretty good, with thick gravy and just the right consistency.
We decided to try the phudina paratha - excellent; laccha paratha - good; roomali roti (wrapped in silver foil) - cold and have definitely tasted much better.
The chilled veg raita went well with the food, as did the tokri of complimentary papads.
Just as we were finishing, the restaurant started filling up and a large group came next to us, upon which the service went completely downhill, with the waiters too busy to take our dessert order or get the bill.
Finally in exasperation, we got up and paid at the door.
Overall food was worth a visit, however a TV spoils the ambiance and the staff is busy looking at it.

quiet place on the 2nd floor with nice round tables that are not occupied most of the evenings. Visited it a couple of times. They have good crisp nachos & garlic bread with cheese. Pasta was decent but can be improved upon. However the one in white sauce was much better. The drinks OK priced but no accompaniments so you have to order. The mughlai/indian mini meal is sufficient for 1 person since it comes with parathas. All in all a convenient place to go with a couple of business associates or a loved one, where the idea is to spend time & not gorge. The service is good & they let you drink in peace if you tell them.

An extremely friendly, well located restaurant for the past decade or so. Troublesome to get a table most of the days post 1 pm & 8pm though once in it is worth it. Quite spacious, laid out tables that allow quite a bit of privacy. The menu is exhaustive & portions enough for 2 people. Family dominated in the evenings & kitty in the afternoon. The innovative special veg & non veg dishes are well worth a try most of the time. The service is exceptional most of the times. Definitely worth a visit….Consistency at its best.

Same family as Green House of Vile Parle East. Good place to relax over a couple of chilled beers. Good quantity in starters, main course pretty consistent. Known more for the regulars in spite of it being on the main road. Attentive staff willing to provide that extra bit of service. Definitely worth a visit to make it regular:)

An veg extension of Radhakrishna (same owners now) but serves liquor. The food that was good once upon a time, has started acquiring a typical shetty taste, with the gravies looking the same. The service is Ok, with most of the waiters standing in clusters and need to be called. Worth a avoid unless critical.

The ground floor is undergoing renovation, last time we visited which was a couple of months back. The basement is a tad crowded, particularly with regulars & the ceiling a little low. Some of the vegetarian food is good & the accompaniments with drinks may be one of the reason. Have never had an occasion to try out the non veg.

Strictly a quarter joint with fantastic punjju food. Does extremely well in home delivery with excellent tandoori chicken & dal. Is likely to be full most of the evenings with some chairs & tables outside also, with some filmi & tv support staff having their daily quota.

Tried it out for guests over from Gujarat. The butter chicken & hariyali chicken was just right, with definitely different, color & taste to both. The rotis were delivered hot & biryani was also pretty good. Definitely on my list of using it more often.

Been there a couple of times & found it consistent….Hence the ryze, sigfood review:) “The New & Hip venture of the one at Irla, also has a couple of banquet halls & hotel. Well spaced out tables, similar menu, lots of parking outside (one of the reasons of giving irla a miss)constantly improving service & willingness to help you with off the menu trials. The vegetarian edges out the non vegetarian by a wee bit; probably because of some new dishes, whereas the non veg does not seem different. Afternoons are quiet & evenings till 9 are ok before it starts getting crowded.”
