Planning the Ambaji Trip via Ahmedabad and doing it personally after years, was a bit of a challenge. To stay at my favourite hotels – MG House, Pride, Taj – or economy king Ginger which allowed easy access. All of this went away when I learnt about a budget hotel from the Accor group.
Checked online, found that it fit into my requirement, given the fact that it would just be a night/or half a night stay, budget it was.
Taking the train to Ahmedabad, you can read about it here reached early and after a bit of faffing around to find the car, reached the hotel quickly.
New, nice based on a clear budget style, entry into a sort of cafe – open 10-9 – the elevator takes you to the 2nd floor where the reception is. A quick checkin with the breakfast and buffet rules/price explained and we arrive at the 5th floor where our room was.
Compact. Is the word, similar to Hong Kong, Japan hotel rooms 🙂 but well appointed. A double bed, TV, small corner table – no chair, an open wardrobe with 3 hangers and 2 shelves.
The washroom/toilet was compact and nice too, in fact much better appointed than the one in Ginger.
The breakfast was basic – Thepla, aloo subzi, Toast, Eggs to order, juice, dhaliya, Machine tea/coffee but good enough.
A good Value for Money property for 2000/- per night (does not include buffet/breakfast)
