Vedge is a pure vegetarian restaurant in the Fun Republic premises some time ago. They had asked me to come over and try it out, but some alternate plans always kept intruding, besides the fact that I rarely do foodie events/gatherings.

Thursday evenings which are mostly Date nights for us and we try different places. N agreed to try Vedge out given her love for Chaat items.

We reached and found only a table occupied, but given it was just 7.30 pm we settled down, ordered a lemonade and a chaat platter – sev puri, dahi vada, aloo chaat and Kachori – Excellent, must try.

We followed this with the Paani Puri shots which did not work for me on two levels, one was of course the fact that I don’t prefer innovation in pani puri and the other the pani was bland and sweet and warm.

French fries with BBQ sauce – the fries were good, but the BBQ sauce tasted too Indianised, but they provided other sauce so it was all good.

Burger made out of poppers and thin crust pizza both excellent, though the pizza needed to be crisp.

Finally came the Chuski Gola which was the super hit of the evening.

Hits: Most of the food tried

Misses: A bit of service aspects, given that there were just a couple of tables.
