Finally, after 8-10 months of getting trolled and fingered, Doolally has opened its doors to tremendous success and hopefully that will continue.

We decided to hold our quick brain storm meeting couple of days after it opened and reached there around 5.30pm and quickly captured a large corner table and ordered the tasters, decided and ordered two IPA and a Cider.

For snacks, Chicken skewers – pretty decent not exceptional. Then we ordered the House fries – which had gone cold actually and the dips – green mint chutney/garlic aioli/a herbed cheesy dip/smoky flavoured ketchup/tamarind chutney like mango salsa  were just ok, though the cheesy one was pretty decent.

The music was extremely loud, where we were sitting next to the back office and in spite of repeated requests, was not turned low. The service needs to be upped in terms of replenishment of napkins, silverware and order taking also.

The housekeeping needs to be stringent and do something about the smell in the men’s loo AND yes it was not always full, so there was no reason for it. The board games and free wifi are attractions for the TG but really does not excite me.    A second visit to try out the other exciting food as informed by others who were there and the other beers, but only if it is not crowded 🙁 Probably I may not be the TG for them.

Disclaimer: Suketu is an old friend and the idea of Doolally was unveiled years ago at a quarter bar over Old Monk post some time after midnight.
