Harish Lunch Home, an old favourite of old Sales days, had apparently undergone an upgrade, noticed once when passing by, which let me to make a quick impromptu plan with Ranjit my partner in crime for some of these escapades. We added two more and were all set with the plan.

After a quick call, I reached by 7pm but the rains and traffic played havoc, with Ranjit reaching by 7.30 and the others still later.

The first floor has been completely revamped and made quite nice. The cashier greeted me with a ‘Kya saab, bahut saal ke baad aaya’ most probably his regular greeting for everyone, but made one feel good.

The first floor was full of regulars at their regular table; but luckily got a table and waited, perusing the menu, not that there was anything different.

The quarter system still works here. The chakna – chakli, peanuts, dal – moong, chana, papad were ordered with the drinks and received promptly.

For starters – chilly chicken, bhajiya, bombil which hit just the right spot and got the evening going.

For Mains we tried the Sukha chicken – good, worth a try and Ghee Roast Chicken which was pretty good, and demolished quickly and another had to be ordered. All this accompanied with Neer Dosa.

Finally topped up with Kulfi. During the entire time, drinks kept flowing.
