A quick visit immediately after opening for a cocktail and snack with half dozen people, liked the vibe and had been planning to visit again with N.
However, an opportunity arose before that and we availed of the DineFest offer.
We booked for the 7.30 pm slot and reached on time. Quite friendly service, and even though there were four of us, but booked for 3 on DineFest, they graciously allowed us to avail of the discount.
A nice mocktail suggested by Chaiwala our server set the standard. And all of us decided to order separately.
I went in for chicken cutlet pav, which came nicely wrapped and was quite good – a bit hard but the accompaniment of chutney helped.
I followed this up with ‘Bhori style kheema pav’ (think this was a typo of Bohri) which said mildly spiced but flavoured mutton kheema – was anything but mildly spiced or flavourful – no spices, no flavour except a vague microwave kind. The pav was a complete let down. One expects at least hot fresh pav but the pav actually seemed stale, with crumbs gathering on the side plate when torn.
The dessert was as good or as bad as Churchgate station brownie types.

What worked:
Friendly service

Nice ambiance till 8.30 before the buzz started getting loud and acoustics went for a toss.

What did not:

Will I go back:
Not necessarily. Too many better options available.
